Winged it =)

Usually I can't create a wing to save my life. Even if I eventually do get a half decent one I can never replicate it on the other eye lol. I've been browsing blogs and videos to get some tips to see where I'm going wrong. The impression I got was beauty bloggers out there were preferring and recommending gel eye liner, where as I was using liquid! Quite a few blogs had mentioned Maybellines gel eyeliner as a favourite for affordable drug store bought, and I use a few Maybelline products so I already like the brand and thought why not try it.

God do I feel stupid wasting my time with liquid eyeliner! The gel eyeliner is sooo much easier to work with, even if you are a bit cack handed at makeup like me lol. The brush thats included with the Maybelline eyeliner is perfect, its double ended with a tiny brush on one end and a smudge tool on the other. I've only used the brush end so far and I managed to get a pretty clean fairly decent shaped wing on my first go, its good enough for me anyway lol!

For all those who have wing envy I would definitely recommend this eyeliner I can't believe Ive not tried It before  =D

Time for an ombre

Its been a while since I've had my hair done, we are talking over a year lol I'm a little lazy I don't go for regular trims and I never really know how I want to change my hair. Anyways new year and all that I fancied a change. I'm pretty happy with my natural hair colour but i often feel like it needs livening up, I've had highlights a couple of times but never anything braver or a full dye lol.

Since I moved to Huddersfield/brighouse I've never had my hair done so I was a bit clueless where to go. I Google mapped all my local salons then did a bit of Facebook stalking on a few. I came across envy - http://www.envystudio.co.uk and they had lots of photos of their work and happy customers and examples of ombe dying they had done, I was decided. So I messaged them on Facebook and they replied super quick, they asked for a picture of my hair and inspiration I had, and I booked a date, i didn't have to wait long at all =D

Anyways! Here's how it turned out, I'm so pleased and would definitely go back to Envy and maybes even be a little braver next time well see ha.

Heres a cheeky selfie I took when I got back in the car to send to everyone haha =D

December Photo Moments

The tab photo moments has been rather neglected, I always forget to post n share photos on my blog. Ive seen other blogs where writers post daily, weekly or monthly reflections so I thought I would do a monthly post which will show my favourite snaps from that month.

Ive kickedf off with december even though I'm a bit late haha but I couldn't !eave December out because its one of my favourite months and I took some breast snaps in December =)

December consisted of handmade pressis, baking, beautiful sunrises, stunning decorations, handmade decorations, kitty cats n doggies opening pressis, gorgeous gifts and plenty of plonk =D

Christmas presents revealed

For Christmas this year I didn't make as many handmade gifts as I'd of liked but a couple I did do were some hand painted glass vases.

They took a little while to do as I painted the outlines then had to wait for them to dry to do more outline as they were quite detailed designs then I painted them with glass paints and kept having to do this in stages as they were round.

When I'd finally finished the painting I added some rhinestones for added sparkle =)
Here's how they turned out...

Secret Santa revealed

Its pretty standard now that at work we do a secret Santa =)

This year I had my fingers crossed that I would get a girl so I could buy some lovely bits and pieces and make something special for an added personal touch. I'm a bit sad I love  to get right into it and go to town on things like this lol.

Anyways as we are now post Christmas I can share with you what little something I made my secret Santa to go alongside their gift.

I kept it pretty simple and stuck with a charm which could go on your keys or bag. I picked out some girly charms, made up a little crystal fairy and added their initial.

Glass painting

Well it's been a while but I've been feeling crafty again and decided to try out something new in preparation for making my Christmas presents.

This one was a practice run and I ended up giving it to my friend alongside her birthday present.

So I used a simple small glass tumbler which could be used as a candle holder, make up/pen holder or however you want =)

I used coasters to keep the glass still whilst I drew with the silver outliner.

I did this in stages letting the flowers dry before turning the glass round.

Once all the outline was dry it was time to paint =)

I used a watercolour brush and cleaned it with a tissue each time I changed colour I was a bit scared water might affect the colours.

When the paint was dry I used glitter nail varnish and stick on diamantes to add a bit of bling to the finished product.

After this little tester I've started a bigger project for someone else but obviously it's a pressi so I can't reveal it till after Christmas! =)

Colourful Cupcakes

Last fortnight I had a late but celebration just a few friends over for some beers and a takeaway and I thought it was a great chance to use my fondant tools I had just gotten for my birthday off my mam =)

Here's how they turned out...

I stuck to turquoise, yellow, pink & orange nice fresh colours that popped and also matched my cases.

For my first go I thought it went canny well =)

The cakes were yum too. I used what has become my go to recipe (see older cake posts) and smashed up some chocolate to add to the mix which gave  the resemblance of brownies nom nom.

Turning 26 - a trip to whitby

Well last Friday was my birthday and Michael treat me to a weekend away at whitby.

We stayed at bats and broomsticks an amazing gotgic themed b&b. It was so much fun.

Here's a few pics from the weekend...

Feeling fruity

Did this A3 doodle last fortnight. But summery fruit and all lol. I did plan on adding colour but I like how it is in black and white. When I get some time I'd love to experiment with it on photoshop and turn it into a print.
