I'm really suprised and pleased with how presentable and yummy they have turned out!
I've been getting inspiration from pintrest but all the recipes were American so I decided to make my own version up modified from basic cake and buttercream recipies, which is also why in so chuffed with the way they've turned out =]
Here's my ingredients and method if anyone's interested in giving it a go...
Cake...
*bake for 20mins
*200 degrees
*makes 20 cupcakes
*40g cocoa powder
*3 eggs
*175g unsalted butter
*165g caster sugar
*115g self raising flour
*1tsp baking powder
*choc chips
*1tsp vanilla essence
*Cream together sugar and buttercream.
*sive in cocoa powder and mix.
*sive in flour and mix.
*fold in eggs.
*add vanilla essence and choc chips.
*final big mix.
*1 table spoon of mix in each bun case.
*bake!
Buttercream...
*75g unsalted butter
*250g icing sugar
*4 large tbsp Nutella
*1-2 tbsp milk
*mix butter and icing sugar.
*add milk to moisten consistency.
*add Nutella.
*if too wet add more icing sugar/too dry add more milk.
*fill piping bag and squeeze onto cooled cupcakes.
*stick extra choc chips on top =]
Taaaa daaaah!
