Blogmas Day 24: Christmas Baking


Today being Christmas Eve it was time for some baking after a visit to the farm shop and Asda this morning at the crack of dawn for Christmas supplies lol 

Here's how it went. Instead of loads if boring text I took step by step photos =) 

Mince Pies
To make it a bit quicker I used just roll pastry and bought mince meat rather than make my own. 

Once the tops have been milked and pierced pop on the oven for 15-20 mins on 180. 

Taadaaaah...

Cheese Scones 
These were made from scratch =)
10oz self raising flour
2.5oz lard & 2.5oz butter
And rub together then add cheese
Add water to make it all stick together then half your mix and roll out
I don't use a cutter, just a knife to keep the edges raggy as these go lovely and crispy =)
Milk the tops add a sprinkle of cheese the off in to the oven for 20mins on 180
