Blogmas day 4: Starry night nails

Tomorrow is the work Christmas party so shat better reason to do your nails. As it's Christmas I wanted something a bit festive but it also had to match my outfit. 

I chose a strong teal colour which is one of the colours in my blouse and to Christmas it up a bit I added stars using my konad nail set.  I would have done snowflakes but I don't have the stamp for them!

Here's a quick look at how I did it...

My nails have gotten into a bit if a state lately just from a lot of cleaning, cold weather and I may bite my fingers when I'm nervous or bored =\ oooops!

No1. Nail prep! File them, buff them, cream them then push the cuticles down and I also used 'slick tips' from Leighton deny this supposedly helps to stop splits. 

No2. Add a clear top coat and then two coats of teal. 

No3. Once dry it's time to stamp...

No4. Keep repeating the stamps till happy =) I used about 3 stamps on each nail and cleaned the stamp plate each time to get a clear print. To clean I used a cotton bus and nail varnish remover. 

No5. Use the special konad top coat on the stamped nails. If you don't the stamps will smudge.

No6. Top coat the rest of your nails and taa daah!
