I fancied doing some baking this weekend and my mam got me a Mary berry cook book for Christmas. I spotted the chocolate brownies and thought yum! Proper comfort chocolatey goodness lol and I've never made brownies from scratch.
The recipie was really easy to follow although the method was quite simple and didn't go into much detail so it was a good job I've baked Befor and knew what order is best to add ingredients as this just says combine all ingredients lol
I had to make a little substitute, I didn't have any chocolate chips so I smashed up a chocolate bar lol but the brownies are quite nice with a mixed different sized chocolate chunks =)
I cooked mine for 40mins just because my oven is quite powerful. I also covered with foil for the last 10mins to stop the top from over browning.
Taa daah!
I was a little worried when I took them out the oven that they might be a bit hard but once they cooled and I cut them up I was dead impressed =D
They have the slightly crisp top and soft moist center with lovely chocolate chunks =) can't wait to try some more recipes from my new book.
