Im fairly sentimental, well not fairly I am very sentimental and as birthdays go by I think it gets harder to think of pressis that will be appreciated. So I quite enjoy making presents. However when you say you received a made present there's always the scepticism of was it crap, did you really like it, are you actually going to keep it. So I won't give a gift I've made unless I really love it myself.
So my grandma is 80 this coming Wednesday 5th march and I was pretty stumped for ideas. My auntie had seen my blog post about the poppy drawing I had done a couple of weeks ago and said grandma loved it when she saw the post and It would be a good idea to frame it for a gift. Plus if you have read that post you will remember me mentioning how much my grandma loves poppies in it.
It took a bit for me and others to convince myself that the painting was decent enough for a gift. But also I couldn't think of anything else. So here it is... (I also gave her it with a bouquet of flowers)
