Homely touches

Saturday I spent my day pottering around the house, it was really nice. I added the start of some homely touches to our new home...

I love the fireplace it instantly creates that gorgeous homely, cosy look =)

I got my plabts last weekend with some house warning money from my auntie jan. She's the green thumb of the family so it seemed right to buy plants lol

I love candles and these are a good start but eventually id love some bigger ones and some big glass lanterns to put them on, maybes when I get some spare pennies!

Another plant from last weekend fits perfectly in the bookcase with my owls from ripon =)

My friend rach got me a beautiful Yankee candle plate for my birthday in April and I got the candles from my friend Katie. Michael's mam had the matching t light holders so she kindly gifted them to us when we moved =) and the little black cat is from a lovely little shop in York in the shambles.

Our suit finally arrived and my mam bought me some gorgeously soft cushions and a throw as a house warning =) so cosy and the kitty's love them too lol

These three owls were a Christmas present from Michael's sister and conveniently they fit perfectly on the ledge of the fireplace.

My stained glass cat is from my first trip to Whitby with Michael in 2013 I loved it as soon as I saw it. And the butterfly is from York, the same place where the little black cat above came from.

This is the start of my picture wall in my little craft room =)
I love vintage photos and my auntie have me this picture last Christmas of my grandma n grandad. I want to carry the wall on and add more old family photos with a few more current ones.

These are little touches to my desk =) vanilla line Yankee mmm and two cute cacti the little cat was a pressi from my dads travels and I really like Egyptian things id love to go some time.

These were from my mam two Christmas' ago and they look so lovely hanging rather than flat on the wall and there happened to be the perfect spot for them in the craft room.

One of my cushions I designed also fits lovely in the craft room as it's pastel colours. I love the idea of sitting working in here and Alfie seems to be a fan of the view.

I love all my nick naks and it's so nice to have some where to finally out them all!
